I know that this is a no-brainer, but of course it’s the first step to take before you jump head-first into a new city. It’ll also save you the trouble of paying for expensive, last minute plane tickets (the most expensive kind!).
2) Don’t be afraid to change your plans.

This is related to the above, but remember that wanting to go somewhere doesn’t mean that you have to go there! If you’re the only one who wants to travel to Tahiti, then maybe you should just visit New York City instead. You can still take in the sights with this tip.

If you’re looking to get a cheap flight and there’s a promotion that can bring down the ticket price significantly, then why not ask about it? This is especially true if your business is in the airline industry. For example, Delta Airlines usually offers “global first” tickets at a discounted price, which means you can get the cheapest possible ticket to anywhere in the world.
